The Walken Dead

walken

Once in a generation an event takes place which changes everything. The invention of the airplane. Man walking on the moon. Christopher Walken practically begging to be cast in a zombie movie.

Right now, I’d definitely watch a zombie movie if I could. I mean, I’d absolutely love to do one, too. Zombie movies are interesting because it could be any budget. You can make it for nothing. You can spend a lot of money. It’s still a zombie movie.

If a Christopher Walken zombie movie isn’t made in someone’s backyard by this time tomorrow, I am going to be furious.

I would love to see Christopher Walken in a Zombie movie, the guy is such a screen presence.

Oh yeah….Walken in a zombie movie would be ok with me…

Actually ANY more zombie movies would be alright with me….I’m a sucker for that genre and welcome any new additions!

I am a zombie junkie as well. It’s kind of sad that I haven’t grown sick of them despite their surpassing the saturation point awhile back.

Now, the question is, would Walken play a zombie or a person fighting the zombies?

  4. krew Says:

Walken would have to be the King of Zombies, the only man capable of commanding the undead.

    Damn, I just scared myself.

  5. Steve Says:

That was my first thought, too. But upon further reflection I realized that the inclusion of individual zombies usually diminishes the terror of the horde as a whole. I mean, with King Zombie Walken around, would other zombies even be scary?

  6. CrzyDJM Says:

I’ve always kinda thought that Walken already WAS a zombie…

  7. Steve Says:

Maybe that’s the Shyamalan-style twist. He helps us fight the zombies, but he was really a zombie double agent all along!

Thank God I don’t write movies. That’s horrible.

Thanks for the link. I really disliked Brooks’ Zombie Survival Guide, so I’m going to wait and see if his new one is any good before jumping for joy.

Unless, that is, they get Walken.

  11. CrzyDJM Says:

You disliked it? How come? Not a knock by any means, because you know “to each his own”, but I must say that you’re the first person I’ve heard that from!

Sorry sir, but I don’t see a contact link so here’s an interesting link if you didn’t already see it…

Thanks, Crazy. My email is steven@thehorrorblog.com. It can also be found in the About section.

It’s been awhile since I leafed through the Zombie Survival Guide, and I didn’t make it all the way through to the end, so I’m not sure how vaild my opinion on it should be. I think it’s a great novelty idea, and I envy Max Brooks for coming up with such a sound idea, but I found the actual presentation to be a little too dull for a piece of satire and at odds with my own ideas of the zombie apocalypse.

How’s that for a ridiculous comment?
