Many of you may recall a recent edition of the Horror Roundtable in which the participants discussed their favourite imaginary monster mash-ups. A few days after posting the Roundtable I began to wonder who would win in any given battle, a daydream that has lead to this, the first annual Horror Blog Halloween Monster Rally. Every day of this month, with a few days break between rounds, I will post a poll in the sidebar containing two contenders for the championship as taken from the Roundtable in question. The winner of each poll will go on to the next round, where they will face yet another monster.

Readers of this blog are invited to vote for their favourite to win in each confrontation. Each poll will last only two days. You may vote only once per day. I will also be writing a post announcing each match, and anyone is welcome to cheer on their favourite or convince others to vote their way.
