Clip of the Day - David DeFalco’s Trip To The Morgue

The movie Chaos has been receiving a lot of controversy recently, not all of it due to its producers’ claims that it is the most brutal film of all time. There’s the director’s challenge to wrestle one of his detractors ala Boll, their attempt to paint the movie as a public service announcement decrying woodland raves, and the accusation that Chaos is a rip-off of Last House on the Left (never mind that Last House is a rip-off of The Virgin Spring).

These are things that would drive most discerning horror buffs away, but instead have the effect of making people like me even more eager to watch this train wreck. But the one thing that really breaks down my resistance towards Chaos is one of the special features, in which the half-naked, chiseled director takes a tour of the Los Angeles coroner’s office. First time in cinema history, baby.

Thanks (?) to the Rue Mortuary for pointing me to this classic clip.

This is real death! This is what you see when you die! (flexes for the camera) I am the Demon, baby!

Oh, man. You’ve actually watched the whole thing?

  3. Louis Fowler Says:

I just reviewed the DVD for one of the newspapers I write for. I firmly believe this to be the greatest special feature ever in the history of DVD.

  4. Steve Says:

Great. Now I really want to buy it.
