Keith Knight, star of Meatballs and My Bloody Valentine, has passed away. Knight began his career in the theatre in Sault Ste. Marie before moving onto roles in movies, television, voice acting and too many commercials to count.

Even the most devoted cinephile can cite at least a few examples of “That Guy”, those character actors that seem to appear in numerous films but whose name remains elusive. Keith Knight was “That Guy” for me, but more specifically his natural charisma seemed to encapsulate a certain type of Canadian everyman. There’s a Keith Knight at every cottage and bush party, man.
