The End

As you may have already guessed, The Horror Blog is going on hiatus. If you’re still stopping by regularly for updates, you may want to divert your attention to some of the wonderful horror blogs found in the post below this one.
It’s been two years since I started The Horror Blog, and I’ve enjoyed myself immensely. However, writing has never really been either one of my passions or one of my strengths, and for that reason, and a few others that I won’t bore you with, I’ve decided to step down as the main contributor to The Horror Blog.
I’ve spoken to someone whose passion for the genre and flair for writing surpasses my own. I’m working closely with this person in redesigning the site, and will be overseeing the first few months of the relaunch, at least. I may even pinch hit when the new writer isn’t able to perform his duties. We’re unsure at this time when the relaunch will take place, but it won’t be for at least a few months, and if I have my way we won’t start until the next year. I’ll be sure to contact at least a few of my peers in horror blogging when that day comes so they can pass the news on to you, if they choose.
Thank you to everyone who passed through, left a comment or sent a link my way. I hope you had even a fraction as much fun reading the blog as I had writing it.

That’s my favorite of your illustrations yet. Slap that on a tee shirt and call me $20 poorer!

I came in a little late to the game, but I enjoyed it immensely (the only comment I left was concerning Tim Roth’s film THE WAR ZONE in the discussion of non-horror horror films).
Best of luck to you, Steve. And thanks a million for commenting on the GYMKATA reference at my ’spot.

Thanks, everyone!
I love Gymkata. There was a video store in Montreal that had a clamshell VHS copy of it on the shelves. I knew it was only a matter of time before they got rid of it, so I offered to buy it from them and have them keep it as the only remaining VHS tape on their shelf, a glorious tribute to a bygone era. They wouldn’t go for it. I nearly cried when I went in there and all their VHS was gone, including Gymkata. Have you heard the Gymkommentary yet?
I liked that one too, Arbogast. I love brushwork that looks like brushwork. I usually hate noses, but that’s probably my favourite part of the picture.

I’ve enjoyed visiting your site and am sorry to hear about your hiatus, but understand completely. Please let me know when you reopen to readers and I’ll be glad to pass the word along via my own blog.

I hoped I’d never have to read this post, but I can still understand. For writing not being your major passion, you’ve certainly done a remarkably good job at it! :)
Glad to see there may be a re-surge and I hope I’ll be contacted when and if there is.
Thanks for the good times!

Rest in piece! I know how difficult it is to stay on top of things myself. I understand!

Well, I wish you luck with the new project, and was glad to have you as a part of the horror community. We’ll keep hope alive until you get back. :D

The everyday person goes through their daily life without ever thinking that there could be more out there than what they see. The occultist goes through their daily life constantly interacting with what others don’t see.
The occult world is not separate from our own but more the underbelly of our everyday person’s world. The occult world consists of the things that people find too scary or too fantastic to be real. The occult world is meant to stay hidden from the mundane world.
However…
…there’s a war that’s been waging for centuries between the occult factions. And it’s all leading up to a violent and bloody conclusion.
The waring factions consist of the vampires; oldest of all the clans and most clandestine. The witches; those who seek out the occult world and hope to hone all knowledge within it for the benefit of self and those around them. The lycanthropes; resulting offspring from diseased animal bodily fluids coming into contact with humans. The zombies; creatures spawned from the most powerful of witchcraft. The akash; the spirits of the earth manifest in different guises. The mutants; resulting offspring of nature merging with humans. Angels; messengers from the divine.
“And with righteous might, win through to absolute victory.”

Hello Horror Blog,
I am a student of Firth Park Community Arts College in Sheffield and i am doing some coursework and would like you’re help. Here is the info of a film i have thought up. Tell me would you like to see this film.
Thanks for comments.
For Jon Dunham the world is a boring rock floating in the middle of space. He is a science teacher at east wood high school. Robert Law is a pupil at the school and one day decides to try his cheekiness with Mr. Dunham unaware of the teacher’s anger and impatience he is brutally murdered in front of the entire class. He then tells the class to not say a word about this; the pupils are so scared they don’t speak up and at that point the school changes. The staff starts going off ill and caretaker’s unseen. The film follows Jon Dunham as his world turns upside down and shows truly what it is to become a lunatic.
