What? No Herschell Gordon Lewis? C'mon, he's the godfather. I guess we can't have it all...

I haven't seen "Let the right one in." Guess I'll have to check it out.

Nice blog, by the way.

I never understood the appeal of Rosemary's Baby. It's just a really long, slightly creepy movie. I always thought "The Omen" was much better.

This sounds amazing:

Fangoria Magazine has teamed up with Lightning Media to release 8 horror/thrillers as part of a voting competition called "Demand It." Those who participate Fangoria FrightFest contest have a chance to win a trip to Las Vegas. The contest begins on June 21 through July 19.

Check the link out...

Is anyone else looking forward to this as much as I am?

Hey guys! I just learned some great news in the world of horror, zombies, vampires, etc. One of my favorite websites, FEARnet.com, just announced that they’re beginning their linear launch.
Here’s the link to the announcement: http://www.fearnet.com/news/b19400_fearnet_set_launch_linear_channel_oct.html

I found this website http://www.thatsmyface.com/f/masks that can create a super-realistic mask of anyone from just a photo. Imagine going as yourself, your boss, your favorite celebrity or worst enemy to a Halloween party?!

What about Alien! That is probably my favorite horror movie, but it is a good list except for Bud Abbott and Lou Costello Meet Frankenstein, that be more of a comedy other than that the movies are good.

Perhaps I got used to horror films too well, but they could not really frighten me. Like Psycho and all, they were interesting, but not fearsome. I still can be afraid of books, but films cannot really touch me any longer.
As for Alien - it could not scare me, not even in my mid teens, but I loved it, and back then, Sigourney Weaver had been my role model for a long while (blame it on Aliens, I loved that part). It was a great film; a great tetralogy.

The list summed it up nicely. May stands as very fortunate find and I did everything I could to persuade horror lovers and haters to watch it.

Btw, I host a horror ezine that offers a fresh batch of chilling stories every month.

This is actually a pretty good list. The only one I question is Ginger Snaps. I liked it, but I didn't love it.

An interesting list...I'm currently trying to compile a Top 50 movies list ... cyberschizoid/psychotronic/horror/cult movies that have inspired and entertained me over the years...my opinions are forever changing though...

Ginger snaps was a great film...but its probably up there because its Canadian. But at least there's no Cronenberg. The squeals were a total let down.

The Abbot Costello doenst fit.

Also, Exorcist and Psycho? Who hasn't seen these

I've always been a fan of Rosemary's Baby. After listening to Robert Evan's book, it took a lot to get Mia Farrow to do the film since Sinatra didn't want her to.

That also made the IMDB horror forum<a href="http://mutantville.com/blog/3732/best-horror-movie-list" rel="nofollow"> horror movie list</a>!

The American version of "Let the Right One In" (entitled "Let Me In") is in nearly all ways superior, and it surprises me to say it. American versions of foreign films (horror or not) are almost always dumbed down or committeed to death. This one is actually better, and not just because you don't have to read subtitles.
