What about Alien! That is probably my favorite horror movie, but it is a good list except for Bud Abbott and Lou Costello Meet Frankenstein, that be more of a comedy other than that the movies are good.

Perhaps I got used to horror films too well, but they could not really frighten me. Like Psycho and all, they were interesting, but not fearsome. I still can be afraid of books, but films cannot really touch me any longer.
As for Alien - it could not scare me, not even in my mid teens, but I loved it, and back then, Sigourney Weaver had been my role model for a long while (blame it on Aliens, I loved that part). It was a great film; a great tetralogy.

Ginger snaps was a great film…but its probably up there because its Canadian. But at least there’s no Cronenberg. The squeals were a total let down.

I’ve always been a fan of Rosemary’s Baby. After listening to Robert Evan’s book, it took a lot to get Mia Farrow to do the film since Sinatra didn’t want her to.

That also made the IMDB horror forum horror movie list!

The American version of “Let the Right One In” (entitled “Let Me In”) is in nearly all ways superior, and it surprises me to say it. American versions of foreign films (horror or not) are almost always dumbed down or committeed to death. This one is actually better, and not just because you don’t have to read subtitles.
