The Hive

null

You may recall that a few weeks back I had been sent a press release for a movie entitled Deadly Suspicion. While that movie didn’t really fall within the parameters of this blog, others from the same film catalogue did. One movie that was recommended to me by the same company was The Hive. As big a fan of nature-runs-amok films as I am, I was hesitiant to pursue it. Then I discovered something.

The Hive features ants that form into giant fists and try to kill humans. Also, from what I’ve gleaned so far, the ants can use computers.

You had me at nerdy ant fists.

Clip of the Day - Animal Attack!

natureI found the Animal Attack site after the proprietor left a message in an earlier post here on The Horror Blog. I’m glad I did, because even though the bulk of the site is in French, the trailers page isn’t, and with well over 100 trailers to choose from it’s quite the treat. I could wallow in this kind of trash for hours. If you like watching nature take its revenge on humanity as much as I do, get your keister over there pronto.

On a side note, I just discovered that when you enter “nature runs amok” in Google, The Horror Blog is the first site to appear. I’ve finally made it, Ma!

Oink!

pigsJeff O’Brien, creature feature screenwriter for Insecticidal and the eagerly anticipated Prey For The Beast, sends word on a few of his latest projects.

On the home front, I’ve finished my backwoods Deliverance style epic called SHOTGUN BRIDE and Kevin (Motel Hell) Connor expressed great enthusiasm upon reading it. I came up with a killer pig outline called OINK! that might be the next one… although I’m testing the waters with JESUS FREAK, about a messiah like creature who can walk on water and raise the dead.

Jeff is the other member in the Pigs fanclub, so this is exciting news indeed. I think society has been in a rapid state of decline since we stopped producing films about killer swine. What use is this blog if it can’t help drum up some support for a worthy project such as Oink!? Any producers out there? Let’s get this fucker made.

Clip of the Day - Black Sheep

New Zealand seems to have been blessed with numerous natural resources, many of which, like splatter comedies and sheep, seldom go together. Jonathan King’s Black Sheep attempts to rectify that situation, as the sheep of New Zealand are infected with a carnivorous rage towards their badly outnumbered masters. As the clip above shows, shaved, blind lambs are incredibly creepy.

Found courtesy of Twitch films, who has extensive coverage of the movie.
